We will be tabbing and highlighting specific verses for several different topics of healing, forgiveness, salvation & more. Along with those highlighted verses, we'll be writing short prayers that go along with each verse. These Bibles will be provided to the women of HiWay 80 Rescue Mission Gateway location in Tyler. Join us in making sack lunches for those in our community struggling with hunger. We will meet in the Dream Team suite at 9:00 am to assemble the lunches. This is an awesome project for the entire family. All materials will be provided and lunches will be passed out downtown the following week, in partnership with local non-profit Hunger for Love.
Volunteer to help process food to our East Texas neighbors in need. In our Tyler Volunteer Center, you’ll sort and package food items and there is no heavy lifting required. Join us at the volunteer entrance in the back of the building at 8:30 to serve together! (follow the signs) Kids are welcome as long as accompanied by an adult. The serve leader will have a waiver of liability that will be required to be signed upon arrival.
Father Heart, (a division of Living Alternatives), is a safe maternity home: a place for an expectant mom to prepare for the birth of her unborn child. Moms get to prepare for their babies in a protected environment with loving house staff that support them emotionally and spiritually through their pregnancies while providing practical training. For this project we will be helping with property maintenance. We'll need a chainsaw or two and some yard tools. They also have a hydraulic log splitter and would be grateful for someone, (an adult), to do nothing but split wood. Join us at Saturday Morning Prayer first and then we'll see you at Father Heart.
Do you have a heart for serving the elderly? This is a family friendly project for all ages! We will visit the memory care wing to meet, play games, and pray with the residents. Join us at 10:15 am as we rally, pray, and then serve! **Background Check needed for 18+: It will be covered by the facility, but they will need info for adult participants at least 3 days before Serve. Giving Hope is our yearly Christmas shopping experience to bless families in need and we can't wait for that day to get here! Join us as we prep the first phase of Giving Hope: Packets for Families. We will be assembling packets that will be used later for church families to sponsor a child. Come to prayer at 9:00 and then stay to serve together. See you there!
